Lavender Fields

I have a client that wants to tour the Lavender fields when on their Viking Cruise in June. Viking does not offer any excursions that include the lavender fields or the Lavender Museum. I saw that Viator does offer a half day excursion but it says they pick up at hotels. Has anyone ever done this from the Avignon port? Looking for any suggestions...thanks!!

Our Viking Lyon Provence cruise will be offering it mid June to mid July.

That's interesting because they are going June 15th and so far nothing is available for the lavender fields. What ship are you on?

Last July, we were signed up for a lavender fields excursion from Viviers to Chateau Grignan on July 7. The excursion was cancelled because the lavender fields were past their color. We were on Avalon and had hoped to see the fields in their glory. I am writing this to let you know that the season is limited and I suppose variable from year to year.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Catherine D'antuono, Tour Designer in Provence, for any and all sightseeing in the Provence area. We toured with her several years ago and she's nothing short of superb. Tell her Denise says hello! :)
