Anyone recently been to Lanzarote and know where ships dock and is there anything to do there or is it a need for an excursion.

Anyone recently been to Lanzarote and know where ships dock and is there anything to do there or is it a need for an excursion.

 

Was meant to visit Lanzarote twice during Dec on QE. Both times she didn't dock due to high winds. Be prepared for this possibility.

 

I had booked the volcano walk tour.

Ship berths in the capital. Most people do the land of fire excursion.

Which i did here. Really very interesting. Out of this world.

[Mid-Atlantic Ridge]

Town is pleasant enough it has a good range of shops, places to eat and a beach with white sand. Typically a shuttle bus is in operation from the dock to the town and back.

 

Alternatively if you want to go it alone there is a car hire pick up point on the dock and the roads are surprisingly good so it is easy to get around the island and explore independently.
