tx4man Posted April 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2016 Hello everyone. It's our first cruise soon and we have H2358 and H2356 on deck 2 which, of course, are the most aft we can go. I've read there is a slight chance of occasional prop vibration, anyone shed any light? Thanks
serene56 Posted April 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) For your first cruise-- why did you take those two cabins? especially for such a long cruise the props are right under your area. you COULD get shuddering / vibrations when entering and leaving port. When you get back home you will suddenly wake up because all of the sudden your cabin will get earily quiet. Its gonna be a hike to those stairs / elevators. 2616/2618 would have been a better choice. I just checked your sailing 3724 and 3726 is available if this is a guarantee booking- ask to be put back into the quaranteed status Edited April 14, 2016 by serene56

tx4man Posted April 14, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted April 14, 2016 Thanks Serene. It's not that far to the stairs and elevators is it? Also, we've read deck 2 was a quiet deck rather than deck 3 ? Especially if located by the elevator. Have you experience of aft staterooms?
serene56 Posted April 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2016 Thanks Serene. It's not that far to the stairs and elevators is it? Also, we've read deck 2 was a quiet deck rather than deck 3 ? Especially if located by the elevator. Have you experience of aft staterooms? I loved aft balcony but the lower you go the shuddering /vibration gets worse and worse. its far enough from the stairs/ elevators and gets old very quickly that walk- plus you need to get to where you are going-- food etc is deck 10 waiting on elevators Deck 3 is quiet as long as you are under a quiet area-- like the dining room- its carpeted so no noise issues Im going on the Freedom of the seas next week-- so if I don't get back to you just know I am cruising
