Sounds like the YC will be right up your ally. My BW and I live in So. Florida so cruise access is easy we typically sail Celebrity and have been on 2 Euro cruises with them including the new suite class, and many others in the Carib and on Princess and RCCL and enjoy them all. We were looking for a quick easy getaway and sailed on the Divina 2 years ago in the YC 2 years ago not knowing anything about MSC. It was fantastic. Relaxing, no crowds in the YC, chairs always available at the pool, quiet, exceptional personal service from everyone, the food in the restaurant is as good as you will find at any venue on a mass market line. The lounge both inside and out is stocked all day with rotating food items, and the bars are always open. We spent very little time outside the YC environs as we got spoiled with the service and calm. The best endorsement I can provide is that we just booked the YC again for next month. Hope this helps, enjoy.

Great endorsement, we have sailed MSC numerous times here & in Europe, our cruise 11/2 yrs ago in a balcony was not that great as the adult pool was loaded with kids & no one to supervise, could not enjoy daytime so we are trying Yacht class May 21 .

Helicopter,,,Internet is not included in the Yacht Club fare but the new packages are priced very well:

You don't need to tip any of the staff onboard MSC Divina,,and it is frowned upon to do so. We have always tipped all of our waitstaff including our butler however, we are very discrete about it.:)

Normal nights in Le'Muse a button down shirt or polo with pants are fine. On formal nights,,more passengers tend to dress up,,,suits,,tuxedos. You don't need to adhere to that dress code,,business casual would be fine and you wouldn't feel under dressed.

The Yacht Club is worth every penny!!! You will definitely have a great time!!:)

I'm at a loss to speak MBs and have no idea of what that gets me time wise per day. Can it be translated? No pix, just emails and internet news

Think of it like the data usage on your cell phone,,,if you have apps open on your phone,,tablet,,computer,,some will use data(mega-bytes) if connected to the internet. Data upload and download,,e-mail send, e-mail receive,, all consume data(mega-bytes). Determining exactly how much each app uses is difficult to track and there's really no way to calculate how much data you will use at any given time.

MSC's system will tell you how much data you have used and how much you have left. :)

We've never stayed in a YC2,,,YC1 and YC3 and both on deck 16. The concierge is on deck 15. You'll be able to use the elevator which will bring you up to deck 15,,,it's not that far of a walk from the elevators to the concierge. Once you board,,you will be brought to the concierge to decide your dinner time with the Le'Muse maitre d',,decide which newspaper you would like delivered each morning,,etc. and then your butler will escort you to your stateroom. Top Sail Lounge,,the Yacht Club lounge,,is on deck 15 next to the concierge and the One Pool and Bar is on deck 18.

The casino is 100% smoke free while Divina sails the Caribbean. The entertainment is the best at sea!! The new versions of 3 shows are going to be released this month,,,Pirates, Wonderland and Starwalker. You can get a sneak peek of the new shows here:

There's only one water slide on MSC Divina. MSC does a great job with the kids and their clubs though. Here is a link to the kids activities Mikesteg posted:

We've stayed at the Epic Hotel before our last sailing per our TA's recommendation. Lot's of choices though,,,the best bet is to post a thread or browse through existing threads here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=495

I see your cabin...Looks great..there are just 3 yc cabins on this floor but I am sure the elevator service will be good to get you up to the YC area.

Thanks, Mike. As long as I know what my status data wise is, I can handle it/

The longest walks will be from your stateroom to the elevator on 12, and from the YC to LeMuse (the YC restaurant) which is all the way aft on Deck 15.

We are on your cruise and we were looking at a YC2 as well, currently in one of the big 'square' YC1 rooms on 15. I just have to have a balcony though. I do like the size of those YC2's - comparable to NCL's 2-bdrm suites which we've stayed in quite a few times now. We have a 4.5 year old. Usually stay at the Embassy Suites near the airport on a 'cruise' rate, and use their shuttle to get to the ship the day of. Arriving quite late the night before so not worried about doing anything in Miami.

Hi,

we booked a yc2 yacht club msc divina without realizing that it was 3 floors below the actually yacht club. is that going to be a problem? I am talking to them tomorrow to see if we can change to 2 yc1 rooms..we originally liked the bigger yc2 room so we choose it based on size..yc3 was booked and they don't have any other suites with 2 br/ba....anyone sailed in YC2 to see if it is no big deal or would it be worth it to be in 2 smaller rooms in yacht club area? thanks for any advice!!!

Speaking of Le Muse, is it set time dining can I walk in at any time and ask for a table?

Anytime dining. You can go whenever you choose. After the first night, when we ate around 7 and from then on we just told the MD that we would be there around 7:30 each night. No problem, except the first formal night ("gala") when it was quite busy in there and we were unable to get our preferred table.

Ask to be seated in Kalib's area - he is just terriffic!!!
