lmkucala Posted April 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2016 We're arriving late the night (flight gets in around 9:30pm) before our cruise, so wasn't too concerned about the hotel except wanting to be DT somewhat near Canada Place. I put in a bid on Priceline and got the Hyatt for $170 on 6/25 which (I think?) was a decent deal, considering the rate on their site is around $325 and I couldn't find anything of that quality cheaper. Anyway, we are planning to rent bikes for a couple of hours Saturday morning and ride around Stanley Park prior to boarding our cruise. Then head back to the hotel around 11am to check-out and take a taxi to Canada Place. I'm wondering: Any tips for a decent priced breakfast in the morning before our bike ride? Is there a convenience store or small grocery type store around the Hyatt that we could stop and pick up some 6 or 12 packs of soda (we want to bring on the ship with us) Where is the closest bike rental that opens early? Any other tips? Thanks!
Putterdude Posted April 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Any time that you can get the Hyatt Regency for that price, grab it, you did very well. IMO the HR is center ice in Vancouver. Your soda needs is the easiest, there is a Rexall Drug store in Royal Centre which is immediately below the HR and they will likely have what you want. Breakfast, a long time fave of Vancouverites is the White Spot on Georgia at Cardero St. which is on your way to the bike rental establishments. If not familiar with the opening hours of bike shops but there are at least a half a dozen within a block or two of the entrance to Stanley Park so if you do a Google search that should povide all the information you need. https://www.whitespot.ca/?mobile_switch=standard Edited April 15, 2016 by Putterdude
Lulubelle45 Posted April 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2016 Another suggestion is in Canada Place, convention centre. Along the walkway next to the cruiseship docks, loads of bike rental places there. Can always do breaky at DeDutch panokake
