NYE on Briliance advice

Input need from Veteran Cruisers........I can't decide whether to book the GS or a JS on Brilliance(5day) for NYE. The GS perks would leave me going to the Concierge suite guest area for drinks versus getting a JS with a drink package and getting drinks anywhere. Are there any special NYE events for Suite guests on the Brilliance that we would be missing if I book the JS? We walk off early at the end of the cruise, so the luggage valet doesn't make or break us. We are Emerald(8 points from Diamond) so no Diamond lounge option for us on this cruise. There's approx $900 difference between the 2 suites.
