Need suggestion cape Liberty

We are driving the morning of our cruise on Summit May 8th from Montreal.

 

We plan to leave early enough to have some time for a nice breakfast. Any suggestions for a place to eat and not to be rush on our way to the port. We plan to park at the pier.

Broadway Diner 1075 Broadway Bayonne NJ

Brownstone Diner in Jersey City, NJ. It was on the show diners, drive-ins, and dives. Good pancakes and it's off of exit 14C. The Port is exit 14A.

One amazing spot in Bayonne is Cafe Talya. It's 218 Avenue B at the corner of 49th St. It's small but delicious, look it up on Yelp to see reviews. Their omelets and pancakes are out of this world and they serve fresh-squeezed orange juice. You'd have to street park but at that time of day it's relatively easy. I live 6 blocks away and love to go there.

 

Another option is the Lighthouse diner on 31st & Broadway. They have a small parking lot behind the diner, enter on 31st. Lately I think the Lighthouse is much better than the Broadway, which has gone downhill. Broadway seems pricey and the service is hit or miss.
