BGinGA Posted October 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2005 Hello! We have travelled on other cruise lines and they offer perks if you travel with them for a certain number of times. Does Disney offer something like this also? We now have a son (6 months old) and are planning a trip for his 1st birthday.
shuttle-c Posted October 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2005 No, unfortunately - we wish they did. The only thing you get is a beach towel for returning. It's not HAL or others. We've checked into a discount several times. They do offer a Florida Residents special at certain times a year. That has been less frequent during the past two years. I think this year, they have only offered two sails for discounts.
BGinGA Posted October 18, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted October 18, 2005 How do you find out about the Florida discount program? We are actually in the process of moving to Tampa.
CruisingCourtney Posted October 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2005 The Castaway Club is technically their frequent traveler program, but doesn't really offer the same thing as the other cruiselines. You can find out about Florida resident rates via your travel agent or by calling DCL direct, and FL resident rates are usually 'announced' via the many Disney message boards. :)
Sooners Posted October 20, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2005 The only real perk they offer retun cruiser's is the onboard booking discount. They usually offer a $200 ship credit and 10% discount for a future 7 day cruise. We took advantage of this and then when we got home switched the reservation to Dreams Unlimited and they gave us another $100. Also, on the recent cruise they switched from the beach towels to a nice Castaway Cay beach bag for return cruisers. If you are moving to Florida, then you should be able to get some very good discounts through out the year. A good web site for up to the date disney offers is www.mousesavers.com. shuttle-c Posted October 21, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 21, 2005 How do you find out about the Florida discount program? We are actually in the process of moving to Tampa. You can call a Florida TA or call the cruise line themselves and ask if they have a Florida Residents special going on. Our TA said this year they have offered two cruises with discounts so far.
