Seattle Monaco or Andra

Looking for a hotel for 2 nights before our July cruise. I'm between Monaco and Andra (which is a bit cheaper). Any advice would be welcome.

IMO the Andra is slightly better located - closer to more things.

We have stayed at the Monaco in the past and LOVED it! They offer a car service to the pier (extra charge). We wAlked to pikes market and found a wonderful deli a couple blocks away for breakfast. It's been a couple years since we stayed there, so I'm not sure if anything has changed.

Both are very good properties. The Andra is closer to more tourist activities and is a flat walk to the nearest light rail station. Both have restaurants worth dining at even if you're not a hotel guest.

The Monaco is a Kimpton Hotel. I've stayed at a few of their properties, and I like them a lot. They don't have that bland, cookie-cutter feel that a lot of corporate chain hotels have--each one has its own look and personality. They're very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and a little bit quirky (for example: Kimpton hotels are pet-friendly, and if you didn't bring a pet, they'll loan you a bowl of goldfish for the duration of your stay). The staff seem to genuinely enjoy working there, and I've always gotten great service during my stays.

The Monaco's restaurant, Sazerac, is excellent--one of my favorite places downtown.
