Carnival Shore Excursions Departure Times

Recommended Posts

We are considering using Carnival's transfer to Florence (Florence on Your Own) for our upcoming cruise. Departure time is listed at 8:15. Does this mean the bus will be leaving for Florence at 8:15 or should I expect it to be closer to 9 am? We plan to spend several hours in the Uffizzi Gallery and I'm not sure what time to purchase the tickets. I know it will probably take 1 and 1/2 to 2 hrs to get there. To be on the safe side, should I get tickets for around noon?

We booked this for our June cruise. The departure time is the time the bus should be pulling away from the port. If it was any later the bus would not be back before the ship left at 7pm (listed at 10.5 hours in length means a return of 6:45pm).
