Follow up to earlier credit card fraud post

As a follow up to my earlier post regarding card fraud at the pier shops in Coz... While finishing unpacking and putting things away tonight, i noticed that the drugs/deli pharmacy closest to the ships at the International Pier had magic markered over the "maximum price to the public" imprinted on the boxes, which I believe is there as a result of a mandate by the Mexican government. If I use the 18:1 exchange rate that Cinco Soles had posted, that means that I overpaid by about 20%. I paid $31 USD, and at 18:1 I should have paid around $24 according to the max price. This was for an OTC in the US (but forgotten) stomach medicine, and an OTC in Mexico bug bite/rash treatment gel. I'd imagine the markup on things like ****** or diet pills is much higher.

Buyer beware. I was tired and hot and found what I was looking for and bought it. I could have saved around $6 by walking across the street. And like the card fraud, no real harm done because it was only $6, but hopefully this will save someone else from losing more, and possibly convince others to avoid that particular pharmacy.
