It will be our first time with Celebrity this year but have cruised with Azamara before.

I understand that the two loyalty programmes are reciprocal.

With Azamara, if you belong to the loyalty programme, you can ask to be put on a list for any upgrades that may occur before your sailing. This costs a nominal fee.

Can this be done on any of the Celebrity ships?

Thanks

Unfortunately, no.

If you wish to upgrade and the category to which you wish to upgrade is currently unavailable, your best approach is to keep watching the website. You can be waitlisted for a category but the system does not work well. DIY is best.

If you are hoping for a free upgrade, they happen only rarely on Celebrity. If you are hoping for an upgrade at a reduced rate, according to Cruise Critic members, these do happen but there appears to be no pattern to how you may be selected. I suspect [but only suspect] that it is more likely to have in north America than the UK - reports suggest that people offered upgrades are telephoned.
