Wow, there are some uptight people on this board!! I'm always amazed how quickly a simple thread can turn!

 

I was inquiring in jest! Everyone had fun discussing afterwards.

 

I wasn't asking for an apology or an explanation....simply asking if anyone knew what happened.

We are on the Vista in 3 weeks and are hoping that doesn't happen again!

 

Curiosity is Ok but as soon as the OP disparaged the incident in their final sentence everything took a wrong turn. If someone doesn't want the rath of CCers to fall on their heads they really need to be more cautious of how their post sounds.

I didn't interpret it as too disparaging. People are too sensitive. Thankfully it was not a bad situation like Liberty today.

 

I hope it never happens on any cruise I'm on, but if it does, I do hope they do everything they have to in order to make sure the passenger is ok - even if I am not happy about being woken up.

We paged Wendy Cruiser several times in the middle of the night, and we did find her entertaining the buffet staff in the prep areas. Those 2 guys that were fighting on Lido deck are now in our brig, and they will be put off the ship at the next port of call. We had a helicoptor evacuation for two people, one was a heart attack and the other was appendicitis - or was that person overeating at the buffet? I donna member now. Anyway, enjoy your day at sea. Our cruise a couple weeks ago I couldn't believe kids running around late at night. I was going up to lido about 11:00 to grab a slice pizza and there were 2 teen boys and a teen girl at the elevator. The girl was apparently hiding one of the boys hat. It was a weird situation. Just before the elevator came she took off like a bat out of...... And they took off after her. Probably 15-16 years old. I just would never have allowed that, and wouldn't if I took a grandkid. Another kid, about 12, just roaming around by himself. Kids talking thru the dive in movie. just a lot of disrespect and rudeness.

 

It is amazing how many kids run wild at all hours of the night. On our last cruise we had a teen knock on our door at midnight. When I answered all he said was wrong room. No sorry, nothing! He went down the hall and I heard another knock at the neighbors door. Come to find out he was going there where there was a bunch of teens screaming and knocking on the walls, loud music and slamming the door. We wind up calling security and within 5 minutes they came down and made everyone leave. By then it was 1AM! The next night it was quiet. I have no idea where the parents were (must have been where the parents changed rooms). Kids during that cruise was very unpleasant and rude!

I was on this cruise and awakened by the "Wendy" announcements that were first done in the hallways and then moved into the cabin speakers. I figured it was someone who had hooked up with another guest and didn't let their companions know and they panicked, or it was a domestic issue - also with panic. Seems like that is what happened.

My husband and I were on the Victory this past weekend for the Journey concert cruise.

 

On the 2nd night, in the middle of the night, someone came over the loud speaker in the rooms asking for Wendy ****** to immediately call or go somewhere. It happened around 3:30am, 4:30am & 5:30am.

 

The rest of the trip, it was the talk of the boat! EVERYONE wanted to know what happened to her!! We all had our speculations!!

 

We are on the Vista in 3 weeks and are hoping that doesn't happen again!

I wonder how often that happens? Especially during the march break :) On our last cruise during the break there was a lot of drunken college kids who I am sure made it into a few rooms during the course of the cruise. [emoji12]

As in - the thread was started to talk about Carnival VICTORY out of Port Canaveral; this breaking news is the Carnival Liberty out of Galveston.

But the original point is this - when people manage to go "missing," they try to find them as quickly as possible.
