Are you getting off the ship in Turkey?

I was sooo happy when Turkey was returned to our itinerary. The possibility of terrorism exists everywhere these days. Just use caution and commonsense. I live in Boston and until two years ago never imagined that there would be bombs at our marathon so violence can happen anywhere. If you do not feel safe disembarking it looks like there is plenty to do on the ship.

We should all also look at the positives. The land journey to Ephesus from Kusadasi is much shorter than from Izmir, so that is a real benefit. I am a bit disappointed by the change of port because we've never been to Izmir. But Kusadasi is a very pleasant place itself and well worth a stroll along the sea promenade where you will see many many local Turkish people enjoying their time at the seaside.
