Dawn vs Golden Princess

We've been on both. We were on the Dawn when it was new, and before Anytime dining existed.

The balcony room on the Dawn was much smaller than on the Golden and there is no closet. As you walk into the room, there are storage drawers and a place to hang things, but not a put your suitcase there closet. And the balconies are smaller.

The reason the mini-suites are nice (got upgraded once on a 2 day cruise) is because the Dawn doesn't have the wedding cake design, ie the balconies are hull cut, so no way to extend the room.

I also missed Explorers Club, and the International cafe. No Skywalkers, just a small disco that seemed very cramped and dark.

We were on the last Alaska cruise of the Dawn - from SF it went to San Diego for a winter season to Mexico and then off to Australia. It seemed out of date to us on that last cruise.
