rough seas in late july/early august??

We will be on our HM aboard Carnival Pride leaving July30, 2006. FI is former Navy and rode out an Atlantic hurricane on his ship. I ~ on the other hand ~ have only my 2 day cruise to the Carribbean a few years ago to draw on...and there were NO hurricanes anywhere around! :cool:

 

I have read on here to expect cool weather on first day and last 2 days. How will the seas be? Has anyone sailed around this time?

 

I know our trip will be INCREDIBLE b/c ~ well ~ it is our HONEYMOON!!!! But I am interested to know what sort of seas I should expect. If it helps, we have a balcony room (Cat 8F) on Verandah Deck 7.....port side maybe?? don't have paperwork upstairs with me.
