We are going on the Carnival Conquest Oct 1 and we will be in port until like 11pm. I was wondering if it is possible to take an excursion to South America, Venezuela (Puerto Cumarebo) is about 70 miles.

I figure, when else will we be that close.

Haven't you read about conditions in Venezuela. The country is near collapse. Many cities are without electricity for most hours. People wait in line for hours just to buy food. Hyperinflation is a problem. Stay on Curacao.
