Are crew getting your automatic tips on P & O ships?

When I was on Britannia in January you could not bring up your account on the TV.

Has this changed?

You can on the Azura & Ventura, not certain about the others but will let you know about the Oriana when we join her in 3 weeks time.

We have recently returned from a p and o cruise and for the first time in 10 cruises we reduced the amount of the automatic gratuities . We did this so that we could then give individual amounts to our cabin steward , waiters and wine waiter. We were on a table with 4 other people. One couple always take the automatic service charge off choosing to divide the exact amount of these charges equally between, steward and waiters. The other couple like ourselves had always left the automatic charges on but decided this time to take them all off and divide the same amount between steward and waiters. We felt that although we wanted to give individually we also wanted to leave some of the service charge on so that people who worked in The Horizon would also get some benefit. We are not in a position to leave all the service charge on and give extra on top so thought this was the best solution for us.The reason we did differently this time was because Our cabin steward was exceptional but did say that he did not see any of the automatic gratuities..that it gets lost in the system! He also said

that if he does not get exceptional on the questionnaire that he loses his time off on shore. It is hard to know what to believe. I am sure if we go again we will have the same dilemma .
