NightOne Posted June 9, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2016 What type of shoes are appropriate to wear on this excursion? I would wear water shoes at a minimum. Water proof sandals such as Keen, Teva, or equivalents would be better.
BLAMBKY Posted June 9, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted June 9, 2016 That is what I had planned (water shoes/sandals) but did not know what type of "hiking trail" you take to get to the hole. I did not know if we needed close toe or teva type sandals would work. Ugh, and off I am to buy a pair as my water shoes have disappeared. I wore those water shoes that you buy for $10 in Jamaica because I accidentally left my Tevas in the cabin on the cruise ship. :( If you are just doing Blue Hole then I wouldn't worry about closed toe but if you are also doing Dunn River Falls I would definitely go closed toe there. Isaboo Posted June 29, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Inexpensive water shoes work fine. We got ours at Walmart.
BLAMBKY Posted June 29, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted June 29, 2016 There and back, what a FABULOUS place! I'd kept it a local secret! [emoji5] We all used different types of watershoes and sandals, no problem with any of them.

BLAMBKY Posted July 12, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted July 12, 2016 Would something like those work for Dunn's River Falls as well? Yes but they might be single vacation wear shoes. I seem to remember being surprised how much wear they took off of my DH's aqua socks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Jazzbo Posted October 23, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Our Chacos closed toe water shoes were great for Blue Hole, but not too good for rappelling down the waterfall at Bocawina Falls in Belize -- not enough traction for the slippery, moss-covered rocks.
