Weather in April?

I'm going on Celebration for 5 days the first week of April with my mom and DD (6 yrs). We are headed for Key West and Nassau with 2 days at sea. My question is about weather and water/pool temperature. It is our first cruise, so I am unsure. Will it be okay for her to swim on the ship? How about in Key West and Nassau? It's still too cool in Georgia then, but I'm unsure of these other places. I know I can check the Bahamas website, but I would like to hear from "real people". I am SURE that there are those of you that have BEEN THERE in April and can help. Thanks!!!:):):) You guys are great!!

Weather in early April should be perfect for sun and fun swimming in the pool and ocean. Have a great family trip. My daughter was married on a cruiseship in April and had gorgeous weather every day of the cruise. Young people really have fun on Carnival. Enjoy.

I have just been a little worried about the swimming on the boat and swimming or snorkeling in Key West and Nassau. We live in Georgia and even though it warms up pretty early in the spring, the water takes a while to get warm enough for me. Now, I don't want a bathtub, but I don't like a pool oc ice water either!! :) My dd is 5 and she just likes that it's a pool. She'll play a while and come out and huddle in a towel and go get in again when she warms up. Thanks for the reply. :)

The air temps should be excellent that time of year. The water in Nassau will probably be a little on the cool side.

I live in Florida and by the beginning of March, I'm at the beach jet skiing and swimming. It will be fine for swimming on the ship and in Nassau. The water isn't going to be like it is in July, but you'll be able to swim...have fun!
