Jenny57 Posted June 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2016 We are going on The Dream next week on a Greek Island cruise, and I want to do a bit shopping when we stop off at Bodrum, and I don't really want get too many Turkish Liras, and have to bring them back home if I don't use them. We are taking euros to spend on the Greek Islands, and the ship. My question is will I be able to spend British Pounds or Euros in Bodrum's shops and markets ? Rare dronnygirl Posted June 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2016 You can use TL but most places will take euros and some will take sterling. You can also use credit card in some of the shops (I have used in in jewelry shops). To be honest, we were in Turkey recently and it was very quiet, they are desperate for trade and will take anything. Don't forget to haggle and then settle on an amount that makes you both happy;)

Euros probably best/most universal, but they take pretty much owt

You will not be spending Euros on the ship - all sterling and cashless charged to your card given on arrival.
