windjamming Posted June 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) Hi all, we will be in St. Petersburg on a Monday/Tuesday. The ship only offers a tour of the Peterhof Gardens and Grand Palace on the Monday, however I'm reading conflicting reports on whether the Grand Palace at Peterhof will be open to tours on Monday. The official website indicates that the Grand Palace is closed, yet in older threads here (from 2005), I see that there have been tours allowed into the Grand Palace on a Monday. Would anyone here kindly have up to date information? This is our second trip to St. Petersburg, and we have our hearts set on seeing Peterhof this time. Thanks in advance! Catz24031 Posted June 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2016 According to Rick Steves book Northern European Cruise Ports, the Hermitage and Peterhof are closed on Mondays. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
manonabike Posted June 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2016 We were there 2 weeks ago on a Monday and did Peterhof. It was fantastic. Did a private tour and took the hydrofoil back, much easier than the drive. Enjoy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
