Discrepancy in OBC

I have recently booked a cruise with an online cruise specialist. Good service and they awarded us a generous OBC. When they emailed our documents we noticed that on the P and O confirmation it showed OBC of about £100 less than that given by our TA. I phoned P and O and queried this and was told that this is their current offer. So I assumed we were getting TA plus P and O OBC.

GREAT.

When I phoned TA to confirm this they said 'no' the P and O OBC was incorporated within the original OBC.

It wasn't mentioned that part of the TA OBC was mostly made up of P and O

offer.

Am I naive in thinking that this is mis-selling or just a mistake on the part of TA?

We had on-board credit for the cruise we have just been on booked earlier this year of £150pp – I notice now that the current offer is only £50pp. Could it be the TA didn’t check what the current offer was?

I would say its entirely down to the TA for from what you say, not explaining clearly that of the amount of obc they were talking about xx was from pando and yy was their share.

At different times pando has different amounts of obc with their select fares, but they usually have them plastered all over their website. Did you look at the pando site or just the TAs site?

It sounds to me as if a portion of the OBC was double quoted, but it's a little difficult to understand. Did you get the original figure in writing anywhere and was it shown a on figure or two?

We got 2 confirmations, one from TA and one from P and O, stating their differing figures.
