qm2lover Posted June 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2016 Any one know if there is a P&O 'rule' about the number of consecutive sea days on a cruise that would mean a baby under 1 year (but over 6 months) would not be able to go on? ~TIA
my marina bay Posted June 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2016 It's three. We are travelling with our grandchild soon (11 months) and we had to choose cruises with less than 3 days between ports, on our cruise the maximum is 2 1/2 days in betweeen. soobs Posted June 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2016 apologies for my ignorance what is the reason for this? does this mean then that to do the Cunard TA your baby would have to be over 12 months? I have grown up children but just interested in this post. At a guess it is probably due to medical assistance availability?
Thejuggler Posted June 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2016 Norovirus can strike on any ship. Its not something you want a baby to catch knowing you may have a few days at sea.
john watson Posted June 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) apologies for my ignorance what is the reason for this? does this mean then that to do the Cunard TA your baby would have to be over 12 months? I have grown up children but just interested in this post. At a guess it is probably due to medical assistance availability? Yes it is based on risk relating to needing medical intervention quickly. Cunard will not accept under one year old children for Full world cruises, Exotic voyages and Transatlantic crossings. On a more positive note 6mths to two years travel free where the voyage allows them to be booked in on a third fourth person basis. qm2lover Posted June 17, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted June 17, 2016 Thanks everyone. Especially my marina bay, I've had it confirmed from P&O now that babies under 1 can only do cruises with 2 consecutive sea days.
