You may want to avoid using any credit card. I got stung by the damn bank. I paid at a restaurant in Antigua with a VISA. The bill was in USD and was processed in USD. The bank posted the amount exactly as I had signed. Plus 3% 'foreign currency conversion'. Currency conversion? Excuse me?

I realize that I should clarify the previous post since my home shows up as Vancouver. It was not a Canadian VISA. I have a U.S. bank account and the VISA was issued by a U.S. bank in USD. Nothing to do with Canada.
