Etobicoke Cruiser Posted July 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2016 We will be docked in Barcelona (7am-6pm) for one day in August 2016 with 7 year old daughter. This is our first visit to Barcelona. Any recommendations on what is feasible and could be of interest to a child please? Any specific child friendly tours? I would prefer not to visit aquarium or tibidabo unless it offers something really unique. Thanks!
wdpmd Posted July 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2016 Walk up Las Ramblas and look at the endless series of street mimes. Visit La Boqeria. Interesting fountains at Placa Catalunya. Walk through the gothic quarter which borders on Las Ramblas. Take the metro up to Montjuic and see the old fortress. Maybe ride the cable car (assuming no fear of heights). FlynnRider78 Posted July 3, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 3, 2016 We are there in July with our little person. We are taking the funicular to Montjuïc and then riding the cable car, lots of open space up there for letting off some steam after 3 days at sea! Then planning on taking the metro to Placa Catalunya and walking back down La Ramba (with a slight deviation to the Disney store!!). Granna68 Posted July 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2016 My grandsons (8 and 11) went on a dragon scavenger hunt in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona on July 1. They loved their guide, Anna, and spent 2 hours with her searching for dragons. It was a highlight of their trip. http://www.trip4real.com/activity/dragon-hunt-for-kids-and-families-in-the-gothic-quarter/
