Queen Victoria August ports instead of Istanbul

It seems to be official. I had the following itinerary arrive in my email last night. Queen Victoria will be stopping in Volos and Marmaris the last week of August. No shore excursions available yet, although you can see some likely possibilities by searching through the various ports on the Cunard website

Aug 29 Volos

Aug 30 At Sea

Aug 31 Marmaris

Sep 01 RhodesSep 02 Mykonos

Yes, have also received the updated itinerary. Originally 20Aug, 14 nts were showing Volos and Thessaloniki and now Volos and Marmaris, both not up to the standard of Istanbul. No issues with removing Istanbul, but these are rinky-dink alternatives. This has been posted by others on the Cunard FB page and in other related threads. Really too bad could not spend an additional night in Athens/Pireaus, Rhodes, Mykonos... I guess this close to departure the options for porting and cost are limited.

 

Maybe we will be surprised with nightly chilled VC in our cabins, onboard credit, etc.
