which beach to go to in ST. Thomas

my wife and I, will be arriving in Charlotte Amalie St. Thomas on July 24 on Carnival Sunshine and would like to go to a beach that's not to far a drive to, I do not want to take a 30 to 40 min taxi ride and spend 40 to 50 dollars round trip for me and my wife, to go to a beach, I would like a beach that's calm nice to look at and rents loungers and umbrellas or clam shells for shade and sells food and drink also . is there other transportation other than taxis like buses or group vans and what the would be cost I would appreciate any information regarding this thanks
