NCL Spirit Dec 18 to 29 from NYC

Hey all,

 

Any youngish couples doing the Dec 18 NCL Spirit cruise out of NYC?? We're going with a couple of str8 friends and looking forward to it. This will be our 3rd cruise.

 

The real reason I'm posting though is to find out if anyone would be interested in a full day rainforest hike/Ti-Tou Gorge swim/Trafalgar Falls tour on DOMINICA ... on Christmas Day!

 

My BF and I want to do this tour but our friends opted out because of the 3 hours of rainforest hiking involved (1.5 hours one way, 1.5 hours back). If we can get at least one more couple to go with us, the price is $70 USD per person for about 7 hrs of private tour. To go by ourselves, it's significantly more expensive.

Exotic Combo Tour

 

Drive through the capital city Roseau to the Botanical Gardens. Up the lush and verdant Roseau Valley, with stops at scenic locations to providence where the one and a half hours hike to the Middleham Falls begin. The trail passes through a 950 acre oceanic rainforest within the Morne Trois Piton National park.

 

Enroute the guides will explain about the rainforest trees and the wildlife.

Upon reaching the waterfall there will be an opportunity to swim in the crystal clear pool at the base of the fall.

Ti Tou GorgeHike back to the vehicle and drive to the village of Laudat where a 15 minute walk takes us to the Ti Tou Gorge one of the most unique places on the island. The Name Ti Tou Gorge is Creole and means “Little Throat Hole” literally we will swim up the throat of a mountain to a waterfall located within the gorge. This is truly one of the wonders of Dominica. After the gorge walk back to the vehicle and return to base.

 

Time 6-7 hours

 

Note: Persons should be in good physical condition to do this trip.

Good sneakers or hiking boots must be worn.

Shorts and T Shirts are appropriate.

Cost for 4 persons US 60.00 per person (+ 10.00 to add stop at Traflagar Falls & 2.00 per person National Park fees)
