Do last minute deals to Alaska exist?

Less price drops this year then in the past...I would agree

BUT...on Holland these loaded last week with my Mariner # and I jumped on one.

Never have I seen this price in early August...even harder for a 3rd & 4th to a cabin...you must grab those cabins early.

Regarding AK always cheaper ow trips exsist, but you need to figure the return air and atleast one night hotel in ANC or YVR...

With that said, I live 20 minutes to the cruise in Seattle and have never done a ow...yet

Below are some 6 day old quotes. I'm not a agent, just someone whom enjoys the power of the internet and looking for values...inside cabin will work just fine for this trip...

7-Day Alaska – Roundtrip Seattle

Ship: ms Westerdam

Inside stateroom (MM category): $639 per person

Taxes, Fees, Port Expenses: $240.23 per person

Total: $879.23 per person

7-Day Alaska – Roundtrip Seattle

Ship: ms Amsterdam

Inside stateroom (MM category): $559 per person

Taxes, Fees, Port Expenses: $255.06 per person

Total: $814.06 per person

These are pretty good prices. I can't find them now on HAL's website :-(

Westerdam departing Seattle 8/6.

$799 inside. $999 window, everything else sold out BUT when you click "continue" you get a lower price of $639 and up for inside...only if you have earlier entered your Mariner #

Do you play in the casino by any chance? I looked under my parents' mariner numbers just for giggles and they got those lower prices too as a casino rate. They were not available for me and are not for the majority of others.

Interesting...casino rate...my wife did leave some coins a few years back...not many actually but we also received an offer this past spring for May sailings that actually could have been tax only on a inside cabin...something like $99 on a veranda.

That may explain it. I wish I could travel more in April/May...repositioning cruises interest us.

Just keeping this thread posted -- I finally got a triple-occupancy interior cabin for $540/pp plus taxes for a sailing from Seattle-roundtrip (includes the discount from the TA), for the date that we wanted. Given the demand this year, I think this is a pretty decent price.

Thanks everyone for the advice/tips...it's much appreciated.
