fiomar Posted July 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2016 We will be on the Queen Victoria cruise 8th to 22nd October; one of the ports is Barcelona where I have a friend I would like to arrange to meet. All it says on the itinerary is arrive early morning and leave early evening. What do these times mean? Would we have time to meet for drinks say at 5pm and still have time to get back to the boat? Secondly does anyone know if you can drive private cars onto the port, there?
MobyandDick Posted July 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2016 Hi, Barcelona cruise port does not allow private cars to enter. At the official entrance only taxis (or other 'special' cars) are allowed. The port is big and distances to walk to the entrance are possible, but long. There is a port shuttle going around, which we never took. The shuttle T3 PORTBUS-service also named "Blue Bus" runs from Colombus Circle to port and back. Rambles is 5-10 minutes away, 2 euros one way or 3 euros return. http://www.barcelonayellow.com/bcn/Barcelona-most-famous-tourist-attractions%20/bus-tours/t3-portbus Taxis are not expensive and maybe it is easiest to meet up in town? On timings I can not comment without any schedule, also here is the common rule not to arrive too close to the actual announced 'al aboard' time. Enjoy your friends' company, you will have a ball in wonderful Barcelona :-)
