TravelerThom Posted August 2, 2016 #26 Share Posted August 2, 2016 Appreciate all the suggestions. A cruise that includes Netherlands and Belgium is ideal for museums but haven't yet found one offered in September or October. While cruises that stay in the Netherlands and Belgium (often RT out of Amsterdam) are almost all during Spring Tulip time, there are MANY cruises that start or end in Amsterdam throughout the sailing season. Thom We have taken two Rhine cruises with AMA (November and then over the New Year's holiday) that started in Basel and ended in Amsterdam. No other ports in the Benelux were visited on these. We have also done Tulip Time in Spring. Enjoyed all of them, but very different itineraries.

No argument that Tulip Time itineraries differ from the remainder of the season, but OP expressed interest in museums, and any cruise that starts or ends in Amsterdam (and there are hundreds of different cruises per month sold inthe US - I can find almost 400 cruises in September alone) will allow visits to the world class museums there. I have taken a cruise in the middle of the summer (never again - too hot) that had multiple stops in the Low Countries (it started in Antwerp, then Delta Works, Williamstad, Kinderkijk, Nijmegen and a day trip to Luxembourg from Trier) on the way to Basel. There are a lot of different itineraries. Thom
