Hawaii on Grand - Port or Starboard

Sailed twice to Hawaii and Starboard both times. We believe we had great views from our balcony both times. Facing out at Hilo into the bay, Looking at the Aloha Tower at Honolulu, no difference at Maui as we were anchored off shore and facing out on to the bay at Kauai! However, which ever you chose, it's Hawaii and that says it all.

While which side isn't a big consideration for us (being in a more stable location & price are more important), I agree with you about starboard having some better views.

Checking Honolulu cruise ship arrivals, few Princess ships now use Aloha Tower (11) and instead dock at the Pier 2 cruise ship terminal. When berthed, the portside would see the Aloha Tower & sunset, the starboard side would see Waikiki, Diamond Head and the golden glow of the sunset on them.

Will be sailing on the Grand out of SF to Hawaii.

On Lido Deck - Oceanview - Should we go with Port or Starboard side?

I think Port. If you can, go the extra and get a balcony. Very enjoyable on the total 8 sea days. Also take the ukulele lessons.
