Rare karatemom2 Posted August 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2016 We hope to have at least an hour to visit Munroe's Book Store and Murchies after this excursion. Is there enough time with the ship leaving at 2:00 pm? Check the shore excursion time on your reservation. As long as it ends by Noon you should have an hour to spend in town. Most of the tours give you the option of being dropped in town instead of the ship and then you can easily catch a taxi back. I would just advise that you be heading back via taxi by about 1 p.m. as all aboard is at 1:30 p.m. The best place to hail a cab is right across from the Empress Hotel which is just a couple of blocks from Munroe's and Murchies. smslms Posted August 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2016 You can walk from the Inner Harbor to the ship in 20 minutes.
Whirlybird Posted August 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2016 We took the garden tour in May on a Sunday while in port on the Grand Princess sailing back from Alaska to San Francisco. Even though Sunday traffic was light, we did not have enough time to be dropped off in town, they took us directly back to the port.
