BobInPa Posted August 4, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2016 We’ve been on the Summit twice and have never attempted to take our food from the buffet to the bar at the back of the deck. Is that allowed? We were sort of spoiled by our later cruise on the Jewel OTS, where we always ate outdoors at the rear of the buffet area. I believe it has since been removed. MarKay525 Posted August 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2016 Absolutely allowed - and now the entire area is non-smoking, which makes it even nicer.
casper106 Posted August 4, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2016 We have often eaten dinner at the Lido and taken outside to eat. Way more enjoyable than the stuffy MDR.
lakelorain Posted August 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2016 There is often entertainment out there at night. Nice place for a relaxing meal or drink.
2theship Posted August 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2016 You pick up your food and walk outside. That's all there is to it.

Dreamer68 Posted August 12, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 12, 2016 Just got back from the Summit last weekend. Agree with the responses here. Simply pick up your food and go eat where you wish to. Easy as that. Nobody gives you the evil eye. :) My DD who tended to eat at odd times would go get a plate of sushi or afternoon tea goodies and bring it to her cabin to eat. In fact, they were actually quite nice in the MDR too. There were a few nights some young ones in our group were not feeling so well and our waiters placed a cover over the main entrée or dessert plate and we were able to bring the plates to the cabin for later consumption.
