Shorebirdee Posted October 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2005 Does anyone know what changes RCL is making in its Western Caribbean itineraries? How do you find out what is planned for your cruise. We are scheduled to stop in Cozumel in December. I would assume this won't happen but am wondering where we might go instead, if anywhere. Or are we more likely to just be given an extra sea day. Have any changes been announced for cruises leaving this week or next week? Does RCL post this information somewhere on their website? What do the more experienced cruisers think will happen to upcoming cruises?
wrp96 Posted October 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2005 RCI hasn't announced any changes except for the cruises that are currently sailing. When they do announce the changes, it will be on the Tropical Updates link on RCI's webpage, I believe they might be calling it Hurricane Wilma Updates at the moment. Where you go instead of Cozumel will depend on where you are sailing from, how long your cruise is, what your other ports are, and what ports are available. Options that have been mentioned are Costa Maya, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Key West, Belize, Progresso, but it will all depend on port space. Carnival is switching everybody over to Costa Maya, so there may not be any extra port space there when you add those to the ships that were already scheduled to be there. mandms40 Posted October 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2005 I have a reservation with dolphin Discovery in Cozumel Dec. 7th, contacted them today to see what to do, they will move our reservation over to one of 8 places they serve. And hope that will be one of them and not a sea day!
