dolphin discovery?

is there any idea when they'll reopen? I know things are pretty much trashed down there.. but figured I'd ask.

It will probably be at least a few months...it took them a few months to reopen after Emily and that was nothing compared to Wilma. The dolphins are safe...but Chankanaab is completely destroyed.

The video and photography employees as well as the dolphin trainers were told they are on a 8 month "vacation". The accountant at Atlantida (the other dolphin excursion site here) said they will not rebuild this time. Their dolphin pens and building were destroyed. I would plan on another tour other than dolphins for the time being...there will be lots of other ones available for you when you get here!!!!!

We're headed to Cozumel in mid January, and they sent me an email letting me know that they won't be ready then.

 

So who knows when.
