hollydice Posted August 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2016 Good Morning! Is anyone else booked on this cruise leaving from Colon, Panama next March? We are a group of about 30 North Americans doing this cruise together. We sailed from Colon last February on the Monarch and loved it!
NOLAGrandma Posted August 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Hey Holly, is it possible for you to private message me as I have someone interested in this cruise. I have been trying to help and have been looking at airfare, pre-cruise hotel and transfers. Thanks

hollydice Posted January 21, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted January 21, 2017 We are about 6 weeks away from sailing!! Final group count of 34 people for this cruise! Some first timers - some repeat cruisers - everyone seems excited!

hollydice Posted February 1, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted February 1, 2017 Good Morning! This will be our second Pullmantur Cruise. We sailed with them last February and had a wonderful time. We now live in Panama so it is very convenient to leave out of Colon - no airfare, no hotel. My Spanish is not very good, but there was no real language barrier on the ship. Everyone I had to deal with, from the Cabin Steward to the Waitstaff and Bartenders all spoke some English - not much different from Royal Caribbean. The ship is small and older - but beautifully maintained. No specialty restaurants, but the food in the MDR is exceptional - we even asked for (and received) several printed recipes for items that were served during the week. Pullmantur has no cookbook to purchase like Royal Caribbean. The liquor is included in your cruise price- a big plus for many, the shows were good and - for the most part - in English, and the Casino was lovely and the slots were paying off for many! I would highly recommend you try a cruise on the Monarch!
mackfam Posted February 1, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 1, 2017 Thanks for the great information. Do you know anything about the Pullmantur Zenith? The website I was looking on shows cruises on this ship but not the Monarch in April and May.
hollydice Posted February 2, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted February 2, 2017 No, I'm sorry, I don't. My only experience with Pullmantur has been on the Monarch.
Rare Plato123 Posted February 2, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 2, 2017 My wife and I are booked on the Zenith out of Santo Domingo in March. We have been on the Sovereign and Monarch before and on the Pacific Dream, which is now the Horizon, and which is a sister ship of the Zenith, I understand. We have enjoyed all of our cruises with Pullmantur and we speak no Spanish at all and that is not a problem. We have also just booked another cruise on the Monarch in the fall and had originally done so through a travel agent in the US, but we ended up booking directly with Pullmantur in Spain as the US agent was not able to book the air transfer to the cruise port that was available directly from Pullmantur (and at a lower cost than without the transfer!).
