roothy123 Posted August 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2016 (edited) Hi. I've decided rather last minute that I want to take one of Oceania's currently full excursions. I've experienced that once before, went to the Destinations desk to ask about getting on, and Oceania was able to get me on. However, that was a day or two before we reached that port. With the excursion I'm now interested in, it's a little different. We board the ship and the excursion is in the next port - the next day. I'm planning on going to the Destinations desk when we board to see about the possibility of getting on, but just wondered if anyone else had experienced this situation and what happened. I know the Destination folks have to provide the vendors a count in advance, but I've never been sure just how far in advance this normally occurs. Also, I know you can cancel an excursion you've booked and paid for online up through embarkation day (I think), so I'm wondering if this might occur. Has anyone tracked availability of an excursion and found that it opened up closer to the time of embarkation?
