Ella2 Posted October 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2005 It's official, on the RCCL TA site: Ships sailing from Port Everglades UPDATED -- Enchantment of the Seas -- The Thursday, November 3, sailing of Enchantment of the Seas is unable to visit Cozumel Saturday, due to the port's closure. Instead, the ship will make a port call in Costa Maya, Mexico, that day. Just FYI for all! I'm happy with Costa Maya, never been there and am looking forward to it. :)

Lady & Sir Posted October 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2005 We LOVED Costa Maya - it's beautiful and not overly developed. Beth

Ella2 Posted October 28, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted October 28, 2005 Yes, we will be going to Key West, the only change will be Costa Maya instead of Cozumel. :)
steve20832 Posted October 28, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 28, 2005 Costa Maya stepped up and said they would take all the cruise ships that couldn't dock at Cozumel from the storm so a lot of ships will be going there instead.
kmbierworth Posted October 28, 2005 #7 Share Posted October 28, 2005 What does everyone plan to do for the day?
Ella2 Posted October 29, 2005 Author #8 Share Posted October 29, 2005 Good question! I'm actually attending a conference being held on the ship, so have that a good part of the day. I don't think the conference planners have actually figured out what, if any, shore activites we'll have there. In the meantime, I'm just reading as much info about Costa Maya as I can. :)
Lady & Sir Posted October 29, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 29, 2005 Go see the ruins at Chacchoben. They are wonderful. The beach is also nice, and there are shops and dining right there at the pier. They have natives dressed up who dance in the plaza as well. Beth
