This was my very first cruise in the Caribbean in I think 1999. Very fond memories does anyone else have fond memories of this classic liner

My first cruise was on The Emerald in 1998, it was a whole new experience for me and I felt like royality, people thought we were posh for going on a cruise.

On a cruise last year it was more like an episode of Jeremy Kyle including drunks, fighting etc :o

Yes this was the 'posh' Thomson ship we also enjoyed the Calypso even though it was an old ferry.

From what I recollect some of the lounges were very good. I remember asking for a scotch and getting a full half pint :)

I remember the captain buying everyone a drink in the restaurant- think it was after we had problems getting into Limnos.

The was 2 light entertainers one was a bald chap called Peter and a girl who I can't remember the name but went to RADA. They were the best entertainers I have seen on any ship.

Does anyone know what happened to them & are they still on cruise ships?
