Are excursions to the PG private islands on Bora Bora and Taha'a free?

I am trying to decide on tours and knowing that we love to spend time on the beach, I am thinking of doing these private islands. Are they included in the shore excursion choices or do the tenders just run and you can go anytime? Thanks!

They are free! The tenders just run and you come and go as you wish.

 

We didn't do the motu on Bora Bora, but I can tell you that the tender ran hourly from 10:15 am to 4:15 pm.

 

We did do the Taha'a motu. It includes lunch and unlimited drinks. No cost at all. The tender ran every 30 minutes from 10:15am to 4:30pm. It was great! We snorkeled a little, and relaxed in a lounge chair on the beach and enjoyed the lunch.

Keep in mind that the beach at Bora Bora has no bathroom facilities and only has snacks and some drinks. Its a great spot. These are NOT excursions. You get to these spots via a "beacher" not a tender. Motu Mahana at Taha'a is the highlight of the cruise for many.
