Parking, Southampton dock

We are sailing from Southampton next year, on Eclipse, and will be parking the car at the dock. The only other time we have parked at the dock we arrived and stopped under the awning, a porter took our luggage from the boot and we didn't see it again until it was in our cabin. Another porter took our car keys and parked the car. All we had to do was walk into the terminal. This was for a sailing with Cunard.

Can we expect the same with Celebrity or will we have to park the car ourselves and take our luggage to the terminal?

With Celebrity you park yourselves in their designated parking area. Your luggage will be collected from there and you only carry your hand baggage to the terminal. Usually they will be at your car as soon as you have parked and will load your cases into their truck.

Thank you very much for the information.

ABP parking was very easy.

At the port entry we were directed to a parking area (display your parking pass on the dash) - parked the car and cases were taken from us (remember the lable!)We kept the car keys . We kept our hand luggage and walked a couple of hundred yards into the terminal (route is clearly marked although it would be difficult to lose your way). We kept the car keys. Through security and onward to the check in desk - a short wait and although we had booked in on line the agent went through it again - only took a few minutes. Then onto the ship.

If your parking cost is not included in your cruise cost, I can recommend valet parking 'Parking4cruises'. We have used them a number of times and get a discount once you give them repeat business.

After dropping passengers and luggage at the terminal, you leave the car at short term parking. Their representative will photograph your car panels and register your mileage and keep your keys safe. They are a very reliable company, unlike some that have been in the news lately.

If you are off really early, a quick call ensures your car is back in the car park for you to pick up else, we've found it there waiting for us.

Thank you for the info. Our parking is included for ourvCelebrity cruise but 3 weeks later we will be back at Southampton for an MSC cruise, which doesn't have parking included. I will look into the one you recommend for that cruise.
