tilliebob1919 Posted September 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2016 Hi, new to this and the Pride. Really looking forward to being on it and exploring in mid January. My cabin, #1149...wondering if it's in a good location on deck one relating to the fact that it is below the Promenade deck Internet cafe area. Wanted something that was fairly quiet and where we would not hear a lot of the noise from above. Any input from anyone who has done an ocean view cabin on the Pride?? Appreciate it and thanks ahead of time!!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
bound4dbeach Posted September 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2016 1149 is actually a few cabins back from the entrance to the casino. You should be ok with foot traffic, but my concern would be the bathroom, which may be above your one corner. The bathrooms have double doors, which are heavy. No one guides them closed, they always let go and they slam shut. Being one of the closest bathrooms to the casino, pub & sportsbar, that would make me nervous. There will be people at all hours using those facilities. If it were me, I would switch rooms. Another reason to switch, you are so far from the stairs & elevator.... Just my 2 cents
pohlerbear Posted September 1, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2016 (edited) Check out the French door interiors. They are on deck 4 and often cheaper then the oveanviews, but you can still see outside and some rooms get fresh air. Watch the location though. This year we were over the piano bar and could hear it, but it wasn't bad. Last year we were over the shops and that was perfect. tilliebob1919 Posted September 2, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted September 2, 2016 Did make a change to our room. There wasn't a lot of ov choices, chose 1220...under the excursion area. Hopefully a better cabin. What do you think?
bound4dbeach Posted September 2, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 2, 2016 That is a great location. That area above is the walk- through from guest services and shore excursions. It's recessed and has a small shelf that holds the fun times and other brochures. I am always nervous under guest services again, because of the doors behind the counter and them being there all night. But this new location of yours is ideal! Good job! When are you cruising? I'm on the pride OCT 9. & may
tilliebob1919 Posted September 2, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted September 2, 2016 Bound4dbeach, thank you so much for your input! We'll be on mid January. Really looking forward to it as it will be our first time on the Pride and have not done the Western Caribbean in about 8 years. We usually cruise twice a year and do either the Eastern or Southern. Thought we would try something different to start the new year off. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
