SS Cruise Lady Posted October 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2005 The term "country club casual" is often used to describe appropriate attire for casual night. What exactly does that term mean. I always thought it referred to the way people dress at a country club for dinner, when it is not a formal occassion. However, my memories of the way people dressed at my in-laws country club in a suburb of Cleveland is more inline with the way people dress on informal night during a Celebrity cruise. Rare Texed Posted October 30, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2005 Country Club casual means the dress is the same as a country club would require. As in, no denium jeans, and a collared shirt.
espmass Posted October 30, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2005 I'm more YMCA casual. On casual nights I might wear slacks and a blouse (I'm female) or maybe a long skirt and top; something I'd probably wear to work or to go to a movie. Just not jeans. On casual night my husband wears khakis and a collared knit golf shirt.
