CAL7 Posted September 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2016 We're on a cruise in late October on Celebrity (the Silhouette, if it matters) in the eastern Mediterranean with some friends. I'm a Yankee fan, so the chance of needing WS games for me is small. But, they are Cubs fans; after waiting 100+ years, it's a big deal to see the NLCS and World Series. Does anyone know if Celebrity will have the cable and broadcast games available, either in-room or in any common areas?
eddiethekub Posted September 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2016 Sad to say, I doubt you will see anything. Factoring the time change, the games are being played while you are sleeping. I am a diehard Mets fan. I was on this same cruise last year.....I saw none of the Mets magical run. Of course, given the final WS outcome, maybe that was a blessing for me! Karynanne Posted September 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2016 You may be able to watch a game at the Casino bar. They usually have a ESPN station on. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Tommy3putts Posted September 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2016 We are on the WB Reflection TA. Hoping they have the World Series and football on at the sunset bar! They had the World Cup on during our 2014 med cruise. Go Nats!

Yes, but the playoffs and WS are not carried by ESPN. And the ESPN feed that is picked up in the Mediterranean is usually showing European sports, especially "football".....better known in the US as soccer. And don't forget the time change. An 8pm start in NY is 1 or 2 am on the ship! I lived thru this scenario with the Mets last year. I was up at 3 or 4 am checking scores via my wi-fi connection. No live broadcasts to be had. Sorry, but the bottom line from one who has lived thru it......you will likely see no baseball on the ship. Don't forget, Fox and TBS pay big money for these broadcasts. So they don't just let anyone pick off their satellites feeds.
Softball20 Posted September 13, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2016 You might be able to get some streaming feed from who ever is broadcasting it - FOX or TBS, albeit at an odd time of day given the time zone. If you have the MLB app, you should be at least follow the "game day" feature of the game. Good luck - I'd be going nuts if I couldn't follow play-off baseball! Go Nats!
