Carry on baggage

I was wondering who carries on baggage. My daughter said when she cruised on the Mariner in July that no one carried on baggage, a few had beach bags but thats about all, said no one carried on their formals or garment bags. I am cruising in Dec for the first time so I am curious.

Everything has to go through a scanner like at the airport, so that eliminates a lot of bags right there. Plus you are standing in lines for who knows how long, going up and down stairs, etc. You really don't want to be carrying any more than you have to.

 

I usually have one rolling carryon bag, in which I have my medicine and a change of clothes. I just leave my garment bag and other luggage with the porters.

Be sure to include a swimsuit in that carryon to get a headstart at the pool.:)

Travel light. Keep your valuable etc. with you and maybe a change of clothes.:D
