Jirage Posted September 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2016 I notice on our Nov 5th cruise, one of the formal evenings is Carnival ball - anyone any tips on just what the dress code for this is as I love dressing up. Looking forward to the Royal Ascot evening too.

In my experience most people will be in standard formal attire on theme nights.......some ladies wear hats/fascinators on Ascot Night, there are some masks for the masquerade ball but definitely the minority. I haven't been on board for a Carnival night, I'm thinking Rio......maybe ladies in colourful gowns If you enjoy dressing up then definitely do - there will be plenty enough people that do

The suggested attire for the Carnival ball is listed as follows. Formal Wear Gentlemen – Flamboyant and brightly coloured ties or shirts Ladies – Elaborate and brightly coloured dresses Regards, John Edited September 22, 2016 by bluemarble
Alibobs Posted September 22, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Thanks Alibob - maybe I'll just have to go for it lol Do! Seriously, there will be a huge variety of dresses on all nights.......... I promise you you won't be overdressed . I'll be the one who wears a (different) black dress for all events :-)
