Travelingal Posted May 21, 2004 #54 Share Posted May 21, 2004 I think Harolds is a landmark in the Aliquippa/Hopewell area. I remember it from many years ago before it moved to the Brodhead Road location, and got "fancy" (relatively). Used to be a working man's place - shot and a beer - but was always comfortable and fun. PhillyCruiser Posted May 21, 2004 #55 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Hi, We live in Northeast Philly (Torresdale), and we ALMOST went to the Med on the Star Princess this July. Couldn't do it (sob, sob). We're looking at Christmas/New Years' 2005 for our next Princess cruise. It can't come soon enough! Ditto with the Flyers and Smarty Jones!!!! Travelingal Posted May 21, 2004 #58 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Aquarian, I'm not the best at giving directions, but here goes. . .take Rt.60 (NOT towards Pgh) to Hopewell Exit, bear right, follow road to 5 points intersection which is Brodhead Rd (I think it's the second traffic light) and turn left. Harolds is down the road a mile or two on the right side. Would probably take 10-15 mins. from airport. Hope you enjoy. I'm off tomorrow AM to Puerto Rico and the Golden on Sunday! Kellyann Posted May 29, 2004 #75 Share Posted May 29, 2004 To all of you in the Philadelphia vicinity, did you know that there is a Philly Cruise Critic group that meets. We started this past winter, met again in the early Spring and happen to be meeting again on Saturday, June 5. There are about 20 -25 of us and are hoping that this meeting will bring a lot more people. The thread for further info happens to be on Carnival's board. It's called Philly Cruise Critic and it must have about 10 pages of posts. All are welcome. The only requirement is that you love this board and cruising. We just share info on cruises we've been on and cruises we're looking forward to. If you can't find the thread but are interested, post on this board and I'll get exact place and time for you.
