Stumblefoot Posted September 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2016 We're sailing on a 7-day Silver Spirit itinerary over the new year's holiday this year and would love to hear what folks have experienced in the past on new year's eve. Does SS go all out and have a grand celebration, or is it just another day? Also, was looking at making spa appointments tonight for our 2 sea days only to find out availability is either super early (8:00a) or late (7:00p). Considering we're just 100-days out from sailing, I was surprised to see the lack of availability. Does SS hold back appointments to accommodate reservations made after embarkation, like they do for various restaurants, or are we just out of luck for not booking at the 120-day mark? MrsWaldo Posted September 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 26, 2016 (edited) I found that last year that the option were pretty tight over the Christmas cruise just 5 days in. This time I got online and booked at the 120 day mark and had a good range of options I may be wrong but I was told if there were back to backs they could book for the entire time they were away. So being that the spa is heavily in demand over Christmas you'd book early. There were a few on boards slots available when we emabarked but noting was at what I'd call a good time. NYE was a really grand night, lots of seasick people the next day Edited September 26, 2016 by MrsWaldo

And, thanks for the feedback on the spa. I think I'll go ahead and book the day prior to a sea day after we depart each port.
